The "Ikarus" (Solanum lycopsicum) tomato is a late variety, resistant to changes in weather conditions that produce a rich harvest, even cultivated by less experienced gardeners. It produces numerous large fruits weighing between 150 and 200 g, which are fleshly, vividly red and juicy. The tomatoes of this variety take a flattened shape, show a slight undulation and are perfectly prepared for the preserved, especially the puree and concentrated juice. They contain large amounts of lycopene, an antioxidant that plays an important role in cancer and the prophylaxis of heart disease.
