The Padron pepper is a variety of pepper (Capsicum annuum) native to the agricultural cultivation of the convent of San Francisco de Herbón (parish of Padron) in the province of La Coruña, Galicia,
where they would have adapted their Franciscan friars back from America in the 16th century. Its protected designation of origin is called Herbón Pyento.
