Ahuachapau (or Ahuachapan) is native to El Salvador and comes from the species Capsicum baccatum. This type is characterized by its large, powerful and protuberant growth with high performance. As plants are very robust, this variety is also suitable for beginners in the chili world. The fruits are long, about 3 x 12 cm, and mature until they reach an intense orange red color. They have a fruity taste and a medium level of spicy, and are especially suitable for fruity and spicy sauces, for example, with fish, vegetables or chicken.
